This is great! What does the “steal” part mean?
“Good artists borrow, great artists steal.” ~ supposedly said my Picasso. A similar one by Steve Jobs much much later. I’ve always taken “artist stealing” as the notion that we all have influences and we can either be blurry about them or truly embrace what we take from other places and integrate into our work. I guess thats where “imitation is the sicerest form of flattery” also comes from…:)
