Today’s fast feng shui tip of the day is all about getting a doormat… or sprucing up and personalizing the one you have, to create more of a sense of both permanence (even in temporary situations) and welcome! One general effect of a doormat is that when you have one you become more conscious of when you exit and enter your own home, hence a sense of place, location, permanence (if you will) that allows us to feel more grounded. More specifically, a personalized, spruced up doormat reminds us of our own personal style. A personalized doormat also projects a more personal welcome to the world that approaches your door and/or enters. This is a very big deal, as small as a doormat can be!
Now, this said, if you can’t have a doormat in your building (I am raising my hand, as I can not!) be sure that the number of your apartment is cleraly visible on your door and that the first thing people see when they walk in is memorable, exciting and thorougly inviting!

Thanks!! Question, what about door mats at the “back door” where many of us come and go on a regual basis, including guest. ;^)
If its the entrance you use the most, it’s your “front door”… But if it’s just occasional, I would still put a mat there and appoint it nicely 🙂
