(an Instagram from the shoot!)
I am blessed in many ways. This Saturday, when Chantal Moore arrived to do my makeup for a big photo shoot, glamour shot through the roof! I learned so much…and the little bits I can share with you, perhaps, will add to your own glamour days to come!
I wish that I could walk you through a step by step of the morning, but there was little time for documenting every step (perhaps soon we’ll video!) but in no specific order here is a sample of what Chantal did and how it all worked!
I prepped for days by using the deep pore cleansing brush on my Clarisonic that Chantal suggested. While you may need to build up to deep cleaning, once you do it there’s no turning back. My skin was ready for the Heir Atelier Ultimate Makeup Prep that Chantal used to create the perfect platform.
While I can’t really tell you exactly how every bit of my makeup was applied, I can tell you that it was done with a light and exacting hand. I tear at my eye area with my fingers every day, and Chantal applied Larinem Sheer Perfection Concealer with such a light touch that I immediately realized what I had been doing wrong for so long.
My face was brough to life with RAWcolor Natural Transfirmation Brightening Powder in Peaches ‘n Cream. Ilia Multi Stick in All of Me was smoothed on the apple of my cheeks. Dazzling Tarte blush in Adored on my cheeks overall. One day I’d like to learn to define my cheeks as naturally yet powerfully!
I’m obsessed with Anastasia to do my eyebrows (and I go only once in a blue moon, then keep it up) but when Chantal used Anastasia Brow Duo powder to define my eyebrows I got the missing link in my beauty regime. Brows really make or break a face.
My eyes are super sensitive, and Chantal used Clinique Cream Shaper for Eyes in Brown Sugar on them. (no reaction here!)
Jane Iredale lip pencil in Nude is a wonder- it really makes a difference to line lips. Tarte lipgloss in Blushing Bride is my new everyday favorite color- its deep but yet lip-toned, shining yet silky.
Chantal kept my hair flowly and touchable- even in the rain!- with Kusco-Murphy Lavender Hair Cream and a bit of a mist of Rene Furterer Vegetal Finishing Spray. The idea was to let me move around and let the gorgeougly big waves she created flow with the day!
This was definately the most glamourous day I’ve had in a few years… and I can’t tell you how thrilled I am!!! Indulge in beauty glamour- its an instant lift to your life!!! By the way, though I hadn’t worn makeup daily in years, a comprehensive study showed that women who wear makeup earn much more than those who don’t overall, so indulge & enjoy!
Thank you Chantal!!! I can’t wait to post the photos!!!! xoxo Dana
