If you want a home that looks custom, “branded” with your artistry and luxurious- no matter where you live or how much you invest- mixing patterns you love can create a dynamic wow factor in your home. From a feng shui perspective, I’d avoid striped wallpaper that is intense (looks like prison bars on a wall) and try to stick to patterns that help you to feel harmonious (a personal choice) rather than what someone tells you “looks” right. You feel design patterns…and when you go for what you love, they can add lots of texture and emotional atop the visual panache of a well-mixed room!
