Splashy Colors At Home & Your Vibrant Life!

vibrant decor

(The Design Files)

Lots of us live in fear of adding too much bright and ” non-matching” color to our homes. Let this bit of inspiration be a licence to experiment a bit!  Handfuls of vibrant color from across the spectrum bring a dynamism to space that no other design element can quite match in poignancy.  Of course, you first need to pick colors you absolutely love and then go crazy adding color as the spirit moves you. I have only seen homes fall flat and disappoint their owners due to a lack of color, and a lack of vibrancy… never from too much!

The absolute fastest way to add tons of color? Flowers! Handfuls of flowers.  They are a necessary extravagance!!!

You can paint things that perhaps aren’t normally painted… like your claw foot bathtub,  beams, posts, the floor of your balcony…

Floor pillows, random pillows, colorful wire seats… loads of opportunity to mix in an array of interesting color bits that create a musical space.

And for the more subdued among you, mix up deeper colors in art and ephemera with pastels and clean white to create a more placid sense of color flow!
