I am always on the lookout for new science and holistic ways- even if they are no more than persistent folklore- to get more bliss out of life. While we can’t be “high” all the time, it’s always nice to know that there are ways to get an instant boost of joy, calm and grounding energy. As weird as it may sound, after I was forced to stop eating gluten 7 years ago I never really felt “depression” again. While not all of you are gluten intolerant, it’s eye-opening to see that a gluten intolerance can actually CAUSE depression! THIS post from Gluten Free Girl is a very personal account of her path away from gluten and toward happiness! It might not be everyone’s answer, but for those searching it could be a question to ask!

No one really likes to talk about depression, especially since it’s an isolating subject and when you do talk about it, it’s not always easy to find anyone who understands. Lots of people will suggest drugs for you, though. I am not judging drugs as bad or wrong, yet at times, perhaps, they are over-prescribed. I was really impressed by THIS article by Wellness Warrior Jess Ainscough on the topic of depression. If you haven’t experienced her blog yet, you are in for a wellness treat!
