While color is fresh and enticing, if you tend to run hot on energy, stone and earth can be refreshing and calm. These stone and wood inspiration rooms all have an expansive, grounded feeling and each are full of ideas you can mix into your own home to create calm.

A bit of violet taupe makes this room happen, adding a bit of mystery to warm the gleaming shades of stone and cool marble floors.

The “pebble” rug is truly unbeatable. Topped with a hefty pale wood table, the space gets more rooted and serene.

Poured concrete planters.  Need I say more?

I adore the way woven baskets and a wooden trunk play against boulder-colored walls.

And heavier stone colors feel fresh with a big wooden table.

The mix of natural color and materials, textures and clean lines that still welcomes you in proves that sometimes lots of feel-good can be achieved in a very restrained way…!

I adore these rooms. I could definitely use more grounding most of the time. These are inspirational.

I especially love the stone rug. I’ve seen smaller versions, but not that big. Love it!
