One of the luxuries of my art-stalking, writing & feng shui’ing life is that in order to do any of that well I have to forget completely about myself for huge portions of the day. A great teacher once told me that it is not interesting to be interesting; it is interesting to see someone who is interested. If you are too overloaded with your own “self-work” it’s time to let it go and get interested in the bigger picture. We’ll never be perfect but life will speed right by as we try to sit in a bubble and perfect things and think only about ourselves…. God, how I love Henry Miller. I have to get all his books out again…xoxo Dana
Love this! Being genuinely interested makes you interesting, I think!
Brilliant quote – love it!
