Creative Blocks. These are the very solid objections we create to our own ability to channel energy and make our lives flourish.  If you are blocked you might feel like you are “smaller” than you could be, you might have neck pain, headaches, a habit of complaining, a feeling of being trapped in your life, and even an unhealthy lust for escapism in ways that numb the senses (TV, drugs, drinking, food).  There are many ways to move beyond the blocks, if we are willing.

The payoff? A huge life that is fulfilling.

Seems worth going through anything to get to that place, no?!

Here’s some feng shui & other ideas to move you through the resistance!

You want a big life? Here’s a handful of ideas to get you going, despite all you have been told- and all you have told yourself- about your potential and the possibilities!

Create space. Where all matter of “blocked energy” is concerned it is worth looking to see if you have clutter blockages in your home and work environment. Clearing those messes can help you create space. It’s also not uncommon to “fail” at clutter clearing in these areas.  If you are struggling, enlist a friend or even a pro to come in and help you to unwind the tangled situation!

Steer clear of passive aggressive people.  Not sure what I mean? HERE’s a bit on how to spot ’em.

Understand that fear of success is a real thing.  It’s not “all in your head”, it is actually in your physical body, too.  The energy we channel when are completely open to our creativity can feel like anxiety at first.  You can distinguish between the two if you don’t shrink back in fear. THIS exercise can help you to make the distinction and move through the “success” fears.

Look at your home.  Does it look like YOU? Meaning: does it reflect your style, your colors, your spirit, your sensibility? If not, you are due for some upgrades to make the connection.  If you have a supportive environment, it is as though you are living in a vision board of your life.  You won’t feel lost.  You may feel uncertain at times, but your home will remind you at every turn of your purpose, your true identity and will be a guiding light to keep you on track if you are temped to shrink in fear.  This blog has a zillion tips to try, and I’ve even made you all a DIY Feng Shui guide so that all of you can feng shui your space starting right now. You can check it out HERE.

Do The Artist’s Way journey!  It feels safe to stay creatively blocked, but Julia Cameron’s book makes it literally impossible to stay blocked if you commit to The Artist’s Way process.

And, as with all things, you likely won’t do it if the payoff isn’t bigger that the work that it involves.  Take a few minutes to zone out, get quiet, close your eyes if you’d like, and “see” or “feel” or “hear” (we all do this with different senses) what you have been wanting to create for a very long time.  It is all within reach.  Even if you can only take the first small step today, take it!  xoxo Dana
