As I am always on the hunt for the freshest and most vibrant goodies to share with all of you, I tend to find things fortuitously. Today, the high-energy beauty treat of the day is a quickie face mask/scrub posted on Facebook from celebrity makeup artist and balanced beauty expert Chantal Moore!
From Chantal: “All natural skincare that is good enough to eat- my favorite at home, DIY, facial mask/scrub made from avocado, oatmeal, lemon juice, coconut oil, turmeric, sugar and salt. Mix in a bowl and apply.”
Yes, use your discretion, and feel out the proportions. More sugar, salt and oats to make it scrubby, more avocado, coconut oil and turmeric to make it mask texture… I start with half an avocado and feel my way through the portions using half a lemon, a tbs of oil, about a tsp of turmeric and enough sugar, salt and oats to make it scrubby when making scrub (a tbs each suffices for me) If I go overboard, I add a bit more of the avocado to make it smoother. And… Yes, it is edible. And amazing for your face! xoxo Dana
