How To Make Natural Holiday Scents!

holiday scents

Scents create memories.  It isn’t just a novel idea to create a holiday vibe at home by infusing the air with pine boughs  and baking cookies: you are creating a layer of sensory information that can be later recalled by smelling a similar scent. Great scents amplify the greatness of any moment and define certain events and seasons.  Plus, the winter holiday season so naturally lends itself to organic fragrances that it is hard not to start cooking up some aromatherapy!  Here are a few of my simple favorites DIY holiday scents!

floating candles

THESE floating candles are rustic yet so stylish.

kindling packs

THIS DIY Holiday Scented kindling wood is the greatest for a fireplace gathering!

orange candles

Carefully scooping the flesh from a candle and adding fresh cloves is divine!  These are a one-event-only treat!
cinnamon candles

THESE cinnamon stick wrapped candles are amazing and super simple to make.

Inspired yet? I am going to be scoping oranges for cranberry orange sauce and making tea lights for a dinner this weekend!  🙂 xoxo Dana
