This week’s Instagram is all about cooking up fresh perspective. Whether it’s my favorite new mug from CB2 that is motivating a new look at things, or some art supplies, or a chapter of a book, a new recipe, a great idea… its so key to keep perspective fresh when looking to mine the most creative gems from life.
Oil pastels so thick they seem like chalk yet so soft they are almost melting in their case… I am such an art supply addict. I can feel how the lines I draw with these would be crumbly around the edges and waxy in the centers where I pressed too hard.
Acrylic paint is the safest I can find to work with at the moment… and the most viscous and shiny as well. My favorite kind of rainbows!
Surpise for me, Bob now knows how to actually put himself in bed just like a person with a pillow and everything. Expect that he will be talking by early 2014.
And here is my killer recipe of the week in Pumpkin: Butter Pecan Pumpkin Pancakes. I took this photo at night hence it is the horrible focus, but you can find the recipe HERE. I ammended it with extra butter and extra honey on the pecans, and I make it with extra vanilla and Trader Joes Almond Meal instead of “flour”. I’ve made it twice in one week. It is that good.
New flavors, new perspective and more focus as fall rolls into Los Angeles. I am so excited for what is being cooked up for the Holiday and 2014….! You can find me HERE on Instagram; I’ll be spending more time there in the new year, for sure! xoxo Dana
