Can you remember who you were before the world told you who you should be?
What did you love to do as a child? What were your favorite hobbies? What did you excell at, naturally?
And when did it stop?
Many studies have shown that most thwarted careers and lives that got thrown off track from their true creative nature can be traced back to a single moment of demorilization or trauma where someone was invalidated or shamed for their talent in some way.
Part of recovery is to remember who you were before the world told you who you should be!
It is an enormous question. It’s unfurling a whole lot of memories for me even as I sit here and type. xoxo Dana
