While looking for a home in Los Angeles is a trip these days, it seems that almost every apartment in Paris is perfection. I lived in a dismal area of Paris (though at the time didn’t care that it was dismal!) years ago… and now, I’m thinking it is the perfect place to return to finish a writing project and wander the streets as I did once for about a year. The idea: a month in Paris early Fall. So, might as well start looking now!
A balcony is high on my list of must-haves, especially cool with a historic view, though I am not going to be a diva about it…!
I would really like a place like this. It is for rent. The light and the herringbone floors= big winners!
Not only do you get to live the dream of walking to the market to shop for the day at specialty stores that epitomize the “slow food” movement- a produce shoppe, a cafe, a dairy shop, a butcher, a baker, a wine shoppe- you also get the coolest flea markets.
These markets are just brimming with gorgeous objects!!! Art at every turn.
More insanely gorgeous floors, detail and clear light.
And oh the color is just magnificence here! Simple, but with a keen eye for taste and balance.
Ok, time to add these to the secret Pinterest boards of 2014 to-do’s! xoxo Dana

I’m a faithful reader from Paris, so I’m very glad to hear that. I’m looking forward to read your view on the city. This post is also the perfect occasion to tell you how vibrant and glorious your website is and my gratitude for it. I’ve just moved in my first proper apartment, I’m struggling to complete my graduation project, I feel like I’m in front of big beginnings, and your words manage to make me feel both safe and inspired ; which, in these times of anxiety, is truly extraordinary. Thank you.
Wow, what a beautiful message and it is soooo appreciated! And I know that you’ll make it through to the other side of your work– your passion comes through! Best wishes to you… and I hope to see you in Paris later in the year 😉 xoxo
