Simple spaces filled with only beautiful objects pack a much bigger punch than very ornate spaces where nothing feels or looks…special. Special has little to do with the pedigree of your antiques, the designers of your side tables or even the names of the artists that you have on your walls. Special has to do with curating a space that sings with pieces that make an impact and make you feel… amazing. Today, of course from Spain (!), from Nuevo Estilo, I pulled together a massive bit of artistic inspiration for the morning: simple spaces + scintillating art.
This you can translate in your home to create artistry that has massive wow-factor with a clean, clear and flowing resonance.
you can’t stop looking at the textures of the light fixture and the brilliance of the walls with simple landscapes well framed in a grid.
This art could be in a white-walled apartment with linoleum floors and I would do back-flips.
Smoky mirrors add intrigue between two abstract pieces that shatter like the mirror smokes.
Sunshine on the walls pulls the sunshine from outside into the space.
Less can be so much more. Here a very small and poignant piece of art becomes a focal point without dominating the space, like a round, multicolored laser beam….!
While these place are deluxe in their simplicity, this can be translated into any space joyfully. Clean lines, less furniture, a focus on openness, magnetic art and well-appointed color. You can do it! This is design that I can get lost in for days…! Enjoy! xoxo Dana
