When you are racing through days, perhaps already feeling behind, the idea of focus and engaging with the energy of the moment flies out the window. When you are under stress, in grief, or just having a difficult time of it, that peaceful core is not easy to come by. If you have been overwhelmed with activiny- even the most positive activity and great things happening- all that energy can throw you for a loop, too.
All this is to say that no matter what is happening in your life, you need to be able to find your balance in the midst of it all, every day. Here are four very unique yet very simple ways to find your center in any and every day. (via)
These four ways to gain greater balance have all proven to work wonders for me… and I think you will enjoy them, too!
1. Tree pose. Tree pose is a simple yoga pose that is really remonant with the feng shui element of Wood energy that makes you more flexibly minded, more open to change and more able to adapt to change. The pose itself helps me to feel more balance! If you have never done yoga before, a simple how-to is right HERE!
2. Listen to some music tuned to the healing resonance of the Earth. THIS is the best. When I started listening to 432HZ music, it started a revolution inside of me where calm was concerned.
“432 Hz is said to be mathematically consistent with the patterns of the universe. Studies reveal that 432hz tuning vibrates with the universe’s golden mean PHI and unifies the properties of light, time, space, matter, gravity and magnetism with biology, the DNA code and consciousness. When our atoms and DNA start to resonate in harmony with the spiraling pattern of nature, our sense of connection to nature is said to be magnified. The number 432 is also reflected in ratios of the Sun, Earth, and the moon as well as the precession of the equinoxes, the Great Pyramid of Egypt, Stonehenge, the Sri Yantra among many other sacred sites.”
3. Try some barefoot grounding! Apparently, if you allow yourself to collect free electrons through your feet and into your body from the Earth, you collect tons of very specific antioxidants that reduce stress and inflammation in your body, creating balance and creater heath. Dr Mercola explains in a very fascinating article about the way to get grounded by barefood activity and exercise outdoors, also known as Earthing:
“The ideal location for walking barefoot is the beach, close to or in the water, as sea water is a great conductor. Your body also contains mostly water, so it creates a good connection.
A close second would be a grassy area, especially if it’s covered with dew, which is what you’d find if you walk early in the morning. According to Dr. Oschman, concrete is a good conductor as long as it hasn’t been sealed. Painted concrete does not allow electrons to pass through very well. Materials like asphalt, wood, and typical insulators like plastic or the soles of your shoes, will not allow electrons to pass through and are not suitable for barefoot grounding.”
4. Clean up the outstanding messes in your life and space. There is nothing that will gather up more negative energy in a stealth manner than clutter and the weight of unfinished business. Make it a priority to clear up all your unfinished business and create space to have the good things flow in. Clearing out a drawer or a desktop or your email inbox can be the thing that takes you from frantic to balanced in minutes. Don’t put it off!
Think about it- a surfer needs balance to stay on a board. You need that balance, too! The more connected you feel to your center, the easier you can navigate the waves of a day.
Find your ways to get grounded- be it these or others- and use them any time you feel yourself spinning off in different directions.
