Design Washed In A Spectrum Of Watercolors!

It is no secret that I am a lover of watercolor interiors. I have watercolor pillows on my orange leather sofa, I am a huge fan of watercolor art and I dabble in watercolor abstraction from time to time.  My theory on watercolor as being so highly addictive to the eye and the spirit: the color is so fluid and transluscent that it seems to melt with our own fluid physical nature. There are no sharp lines. There is a self-determined amorphous glory to forms. Watercolor feels light and heavenly.  Are you ready to see it in action at home?

Saturated paint in watery strokes creates a room that is soft and robust all at once! I want to get some watered down fabric paint and try something like this on white curtains!

A dip dye feels like watercolor pooling at the edges of paper.

More robust watercolor prints can handle much color at once as it all goes on in layers.

And, this might be the best shower curtian I have ever seen in my life.

This pillow is intricate and sweet and almost bursting with dimensions and petal over petal has been painted in deepening hues.

Are you as in love with this as I am?!  Despite the four boxes left to unpack, I just have to break out my trays of watercolor tonight! xoxo Dana

Thanks for featuring our fun shower curtain Dana! We’re pretty much obsessed with watercolors and painterly prints right now as well. 🙂 We love it!
