The Most Dreamy Art Of Albert Oehlen!

When I need to stretch myself, I need art. I can’t write well without some sort of sensory prompting.  Typically, the dreamier and less challenging art fills my afternoons when my mind is soft and my need is great for aesthetic food!  Albert Oehlen- one of my most favorite artists- fills this afternoon with washes of color, collages of grace and perhaps a snapshot of the inside of my fuchsia-lined mind!

And now all I want to do is scrawl wildly over magazine tear sheets. Maybe my late evening project?

Don’t you love how a contained explosion of emotion can be so lyrical?

I’m pretty sure this is where I go when I have missed a meal and my mind has wandered for too long.

Here is the pink, the pink and more pink.

And I’m fairly certain if I melted my childhood home into crayons, this would be the resulting swatches after a day of scribbling.

So… if you are stuck in a day… let art move you. Seek it. Make it. Find it in nature. Snap it on your phone. Everything has something to show us about ourselves and the nature of the world, stuff that is too big for words. xoxo Dana
