Bigger isn’t always better. Small space living comes along with a very mighty advantage: you have less room to collect things you don’t need. It is also much easier to stay connected to your space powerfully when it is smaller.
That said, intimate spaces like studios benefit bigly from styling that creates more flow, takes full advantage of the vertical as well as horizontal and is full of lots of light.
Here’s a bit of studio space inspiration to help you expand your view on simple apartments and living lighter!
A lucite table, divine floors and some tall, healthy foliage make this room really soar to life.
Taking full advantage of hanging plants, this studio space feels far more grand with its accentuated high ceilings.
Stripes on the curtains accentuate the vertical again, making this space feel stronger and far larger. Curved furniture keeps evertything soft and flowing.
The tall makes a big difference here. A tall bookstand mixed with texture and plushness = the perfect blend of yin & yang.
And simple things like fur on chairs create a far more luscious, albeit simple, eating space.
So… if you feel you can’t figure out your feng shui because you have a studio, your problem is actually an incredible opportunity to declutter, start living wth less and exploring many more of the design possibilities that come when you embrace the entirety of a space. xoxo Dana
