Every since my micro greens started growing in the window and my herbs got a booster shot of sunshine, I am even more garden obsessed… For many good reasons!
HERE are some of the incredible benefits of gardening, even in your home in pots and planters.
One of the best and brightest ways to redecorate and re-energize space is with lots and lots and lots of plants. Feng Shui “wood energy” helps to grow creativity in bountiful amounts, and plants are the most emotional, physical, vital way to add that wood elemental energy!
If you think you have enough green with one simple plant, or you think that plants are perhaps not your strong-suit… this might change your mind and encourage you to mix it up a whole lot.
I am using this as inspiration to soften and glam up 10,000 square feet of office that is going to need a whole lot of soft and botanical!!!
Now this… this is an idea that travels brilliantly anywhere! Cinder blocks are about 10 cents each and they can be desktop gardens (brush them off with an industrial brush outside before brining each inside and filling it, stacked outside for brilliant garden pyramids, painted for incredible pop with tape and spray paint (I love gold with bright colors) and they make for an exciting walkway, too!
If you can’t manage a tree, how about a ladder for a strong, empowering vertical?
We’ll be taking full advantage of hanging plants and planters all over the place!
The idea is to be fresh and wild and evoke a feeling of the country in the city. That’s the idea for any home… to bring the wild everywhere you look!
My own home is due for a few more very lush hanging pots of green: maybe 10 more succulents (they are a dollar in downtown Los Angeles!) some stalks of bamboo in water and a couple more bromeliads and African violets. I have a feeling it will total about $50.00 to get everything, including some natural fertilizer and extra soil… and it will make such an enormous difference in my own home I just can’t wait!!!
You can grow air plants, herbs, sprouts, micro greens and much more.
Can you think of a few places to start planting in your own home?
Tell your plants how much you love them and they will grow even more bountifully!
Trust me, it’s well worth the experiment!
xoxo Dana

Hi Dana, With this gorgeous greenery amping the wood vibe, would one need to be mindful of the balancing of that with another element?
