Ah, I love when I get great request from all of you for posts that have ben on my mind, and today’s request was very pure, “Please post on how you can find true love.”
If only there was one true way to find true love, everyone would be doing it!
But, in addition to Deepak’s awesome reminder that people are always there waiting to love you, there’s this quote from Rumi that guides all my love feng shui:
“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”
And that’s something that people in twenty year relationships and new romances and single folks and everyone can do. And… yes… it does really work to bring much more openness and ease and love to life. That one special person (or many special people!) may have an easier time finding you when you’re in that space of openness!

Here are a few ways to drop into feeling more and bring on the love!
Don’t think too much! Love isn’t thinking. I know, it feels like a lot of thinking because we’ve been bombarded with manuals, rules, unwritten codes and sooooo much advice about what to say and what to do. Instead of thinking, start feeling. It’s easier to “feel” all the subtle nuances of feeling when you’re calm and quiet, so relax and feel much more! Create a meditative space at home where you can tune if your mind is racing and see how you actually feel.
Eliminate low self-esteem stuff in your closet. The countless numbers of “low self-esteem” wardrobes I’ve seen make a big case for letting go of the stuff that makes you feel less than great. Right now I have a nice segment of my closet to unload, and you might, too! Re-doing your wardrobe makes lots of space for the new and amazing. You don’t need to buy all new clothes… just let go of what feels bad. The rest will come!
What does your bedroom say about the quality of relationship you’re ready to share? You don’t need an extravagant bedroom but you do need a bedroom that supports you and a prospective partner, even if you don’t plan to have them spending time at your house. It’s a means of getting into alignment on a high level with the match you seek, and it starts with a bedroom that’s very self-loving. De-clutter the bad memories and negative thoughts.
If there’s one thing that can tank the present, it’s the intrusive traumas, worries, hurts and disappointments of the past that haven’t been purged, but, rather, have morphed into negative beliefs, rumination and all kinds of cycles of thinking that don’t support your best you. All of that certainly tanked great love in my life, and it took a long time to see it clearly.
It set me on a path to purging more negativity, creating more ease in life…
…and uncovering so much love!
This is the easiest and most fun thing in the world to do: eliminate everything that’s not love and bring the love in…!
