I’m very very intensely (and excitedly) engaged in the idea of getting more grounded and calm in every moment, and being, literally, close to the ground is a great way to get that rooted, stable feeling.
While this isn’t for everyone (i.e.: not everyone wants to get on and off the ground to sit) I’m adding some daybed cushions to my own living room as seats (for extra people + fur kids!) and you can use these cushions in so many fun ways to make beds, daybeds and even sofas, too!
This lounging spot is simple, earthy and easy. We should all have a moment in our home that gives us this pause for a breath!
Big cushion – turned- daybed.
Then, there’s the futon. In Japan, it’s how I sleep a few weeks a year and I feel so fantastic…!
Cushion sofa!!! What a sweet way to ground and calm and charm a sunroom, a small lounge or make it cozy in a studio!
Love love love the grounded, rooted, cushion-y bliss! Clear home space, get yourself closer to the ground (even outside in Nature) and clear mental space at the same time.
The more grounded you are, the more awesome you’ll feel.
xoxo!!! Dana
