Feng Shui To Shift Your Springtime Morning Routine!

Mar 22, 2017 | Prosperity

Spring is here (!!!) and we move from planning to creating.

Winter has more of a cozy, hibernating, germinating of seeds type vibe… and now… it’s all springing into action!

It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of Morning Routines (mine are so deeply engrained they travel the world with me with very little interruption!) to set the pace of the day every day, and in Spring, my own routines get a little boost of seasonal energy!   Here’s what I do most every morning in Spring, along with ideas to craft and personalize your own  awesome morning self-loving time wherever you can find it!

Today I thought I’d share my own morning routine shifts for spring.  Its not complex – or it wouldn’t get accomplished.  It’s not too long to do or I really would never do it.  It’s really a matter in my life of seeding every day with small ways to perk up the air, wake up my creative electricity and keep my energy stronger in Spring.

Fresh scents in the shower.  I am a huge fan of sprinkling aromatherapy in the corners of my quick morning shower.  I keep the oils in my bathroom cabinet and sprinkle them on the shower floor corners as I hop in every morning.  In winter I am more attracted to deep mint blends and woodsy eucalyptus.  In spring, things turn more lemony (lemon verbena, citrus eucalyptus) and citrus (a few drops of sweet orange is wow so delicious) to add sunshine and cheer to the shower steam!

Windows wide open.  I start opening my curtains that face the sun before bed (technically this would be an evening routine!) to wake up with sunshine streaming in.  It’s Bob’s favorite, the stream of sun.

More color on every plate.  From a handful of fresh berries to loads of multicolored veggies, I really move into seasonal splashes of color starting early in the morning to get the nutrients and energies humming!

Resin burning.  I’m presently in a Copal resin phase, as I find that burning it is helping make my energy very clear and strong, refreshed and… I love the scent as it burns.  Some form of Space Clearing is always amazing.  You can learn all my favorite ways in the free decluttering video series right HERE, right now!

Tea gets more fragrant! (+ you can do the same for your coffee!) I just learned about Black Jasmine Spring tea blends.  I lean toward more fragrant, natural teas that are truly a symphony in every sip in Spring.  You can also switch to a fresh coffee blend and try Bulletproofing it, too!

The official Morning Pages begin to flow. I’ve been playing a whole lot with Pray Rain manifestation journaling (see above!)  but that is only a few minute exercise, and so, in Spring, I hook back into my Morning Pages (three free-written pages in a big sketchpad without judgement or trying to write anything or thinking at all) to get the creativity in full bloom every morning over my tea!

Gratitude, always.  I do my morning Buddhist practice to express my gratitude.  Many of you pray.  Some may have gratitude lists.  Whatever hooks you into this appreciation of life, its something to hold fast to and keep it going!

Have so much fun with this!!!

xoxo Dana
