(I’m obsessed with @fleamarketfab)
I’m constantly reminded of optimization.
It’s not a layer of gloss over a problem, it’s not a bunch of fancy bins to organize clutter, it’s not a quick fix even if it is quick to do.
The optimization that brings real results starts at the roots of things.
Today, let’s look at what happens when you take what you have and transform it in incredible ways!
(flea market fab is one of my favorite boho online home shops!)
This is a simple analogy:
Toss a slipcover over a dirty couch and it is still energetically off because it’s dirty and you know it. And the slipcover will be super-dirty soon enough because nothing has changed.
If you deep cleaned that couch, realized why it was getting so dirty, and remedied the problem at its roots, now, the slipcover is a great solution for a more glamorous couch if it’s needed… but the whole vibe has shifted once you dove in to make changes.
As I type this, I have a glistening layer of extra virgin olive oil on my nail beds. My nails were ravaged by a “magnetic manicure” a few months ago (it was a big mistake, I never choose the ultra-toxic option but it looked so cool…!) and once the magnetic stuff came off my nails, my fingertips were so traumatized that I couldn’t bear to see them.
But, instead of embracing the actual healing of them, completely, I tried to cover up the peeled, dehydrated and splitting with natural polish. They subsequently revolted and split, cracked, peeled and dehydrated even more. I couldn’t look at my hands, uneven nails, polish peeling. And, more manicures made it worse.
Once I chose to actually heal my nails completely, the energy shifted. No more polish for now, no more hiding… just a regime of oils, natural moisturizers and taking a silica supplement every day. They’re not back 100% yet, but it’s happening fast and I think they’ll be better than ever soon enough.
I had to cure the problem, and use my resourcefulness to make it happen.
You are ultra-resourceful and you can get to the roots of change and transform things from that place!
This is the stuff that makes changes that bring abundance in all ways.
Optimizing what you have is a form of alchemy. Making the most of your home, your technology, your wellness routines, your relationships…. all of it.
There are so many ways to optimize and so many areas to focus on.
I always suggest starting with something that stresses you out. Optimizing this will effectually unwind the stress and heal life in bigger ways. Whether it’s your closet or your computer, your schedule or your beauty routine…
See what the root of the problem is.
See what you can do to handle things in the most direct and simplified manner.
See if you can be step-by-step persistent in making the change. It’s a practice!
See what happens once it’s optimized.
The energy you get from this practice of optimization is epic.

Take the smallest thing — as small as your computer files, your phone, your wallet— and optimize it.
Keep on spotting the things that could use a lift, and one-by-one, take them to the next level.
It’s so simple, but the practice is a powerhouse.
What starts with small things becomes a skill to apply to the big things. Handling deep problems at their roots. Truly transforming in ways you wouldn’t have possibly ever imagined until you dig deeper.
As you go, you’ll likely see that your own energy is changing with each small optimization. It’s more focused. It’s more facile. You trust that it’s more effective. You believe in your choices more. You’re lighter. More free. More joyful.
This energy upgrade is what rocks the world.
