A reader asked an interesting question about having a kitchen in the Wisdom area of her home:  “I live in a studio apartment where the kitchen is on the same wall as the front door, to the left in the Wisdom area of the bagua. I was just wondering how this affects the energy flow and general feng shui-ness. Is there anything I need to compensate for in this layout?”

A kitchen in the “Wisdom area” of the bagua is a great thing in my opinion, especially if you really USE your kitchen! If you think about it, your kitchen is where you nourish yourself, and this is the perfect flow of energy to generate more personal wisdom.  Does this make sense? 

Another thing to realize is that this Wisdom area directly relates (complicated to explain here) to your Relationships.  The more you know about yourself, the more you can bring to your relationships.  So, the more amazing your kitchen is, and the more great energy is being catalyzed in this space, the more you feed the relationship energy in your life.

Its a good place for you  to explore new recipes, learn family recipes and/or determine a fgew new healthy habits appropriate for you.  All of these activities provide a greater depth of self-development which is what wisdom is, after all!
