What an interesting question from a reader who wanted to rid her space of her mother-in-law’s bad vibes!
“I was wondering if you could give me an advice or suggestion on how to deal with stagnant, negative energy that seems to linger within my leased apartment. Not ghosts or anything like that but negativity. I could feel it lingering energy-wise and affects my mind. Memories and experiences that are upsetting to me such as when at some time my mother in law stayed with us all summer and it wasn’t a pleasant one for me. What can I do to lift up the energy in the apartment? It is weird that I can only feel this when I’m in the living room, kitchen or the bathroom. All those three spaces where she mostly spent everyday in with me. Thank you for taking the time to read my email. Looking forward to your advice.”

Change things! Today! Life is all about perspective, and you are in need of a fresh one my dear.
Hang some art with super-strong removable adhesive (3M makes a great one that allows you to hang art without putting holes in the walls!) and make that art really communicative!
Open the windows and burn sage.
Add thriving plants to all of these spaces with stale energy lingering.
Blast music in your house….
Oh, yes, and please remember that no one can drag you down without our consent. So, please start disagreeing with this affect that this relationship has had on you!!! 🙂

Yes! These are exactly the things I always do too to clean out bad vibes. Opening the windows work so well. When I have a tricky heavy energy to get rid of, that is lingering, I put on some super fun music (which sits next to my speakers, lol) and dance everywhere in the room. I like to watch funny tv shows, too, things that open my heart and make me laugh out loud.
One thing I would love to do more of is get some really happy art on my walls.
Hi Dana, i heard through a friend that, feng shui helps with negative vibes. Lately ive been feeling very negative, and feeling negative vibes from other people which that brings me down.I am a mother of a two year old and a four year old, and i want give them the best of me. I am in the process of getting divorce, which may also be one of the reasons why im feeling so negative vibes, Can you please give me any suggestions. Thank you!!!!
Hi Jackie! A little more time alone or with your kids, a great house-cleaning, get rid of some clutter, spend some time outdoors with the family, get in touch with the Earth more. Eat more whole food. Sleep earlier. Wake earlier. Add art to your house that you love. A few simple suggestions to kick off your brainstorm of that which makes your feel exhilerated and at peace! xoxo Dana
