Stitched Silk Art For Your Walls!

Jan 22, 2013 | Life With Art

This long-overdue post came to be when I got this gorgeous hand-crafted silk vase wall hanging from Art of Silk as a gift.  I was taken by how it had the sheen of silk, the texture of craft but reads like a painting on the wall.  Here are a few of my silk art favorites.

If you are looking to put something precious on your walls but don’t know what, these hand-stitched silk “paintings” from Art of Silk are one place to stop!  Ripe with symbolism (the one above is for Good Wishes), scintillatingly crafted and affordable, they are precious wall hangings within reach!

Golden Lotus Flower.  The lotus flower seeds and bloomms at the same time, domonstrating “cause and efffect” in life, otherwise known as karma!

Birthday Peaches.  A fun birthday present to wish someone a prosperous and happy life on many levels.  I particularly love the poem strewn down the side, a sort of secret message!

Two Koi Fish. Fish are utter prosperity in Chinese culture and language.  Koi add motion, grace and action to a space…and they glow in orange.  Love how graphic this one is!
