Astrology at its best is a science of nature, and when astrological events happen, we all tend to feel something “in the air.” While I am not intro astrology in a superstitious way, I do recognize that the planets and start are having a major impact on our planet, Earth. Meotorites, asteroids and full moons affecting our rising tides. Supermoons, eclipses… It’s all happening now!
Mercury Retrograde is a time when the planet Mercury slows down in the sky enough that it appears to be moving backward. People tend to freak out when it is happening, because it might be the most superstition-laden time in all of astrology and the tendency is to “fear” it. Fear, as we all know, tends to make things worse all-round.
What happens that’s so bad in Mercury Retrograde? Nothing, really. Its just a time to be more conscious and awake. (more on using Mercury Retrograde to your advantage right HERE) Technology meltdowns, confusion, fights, misunderstandings= none of these things need to happen!
Its actually a great time to feng shui at home & the office. Its a time for self-reflection, organization, rest, renewal, completing things and fixing things!

- Eating a “cleaner” diet to rejuvenate yourself
- Making a vision/vibe board.

Thank you for being so calm about it – my friends just freak out.
Mind you it didn’t help that all the computers and phones crashed at the office today and in London there were major train cancellations…But funny enough – just knowing it is MR – i just shrug my shoulders and dont let it bother me!
I like Mer Retro – because you also tend to bump into people you havent seen in ages!
Its only the “pre-retrograde” so all those crashes and stuff, maybe they just happened!? And yes, its totally a fun thing. Not to stress about! 🙂
Another thing I like to do during Mercury retrograde is watch for patterns. Sometimes a pattern happens that repeats during retrograde cycles. I have a few negative ones that once I noticed them, I could be more conscious of and clean it up. And a few positive ones that I really try to enhance. For example, Mercury tends to give me lots of ideas, so I write them down and relish in the creativity.
Oh my, what if I have to move into a new house (and a new city!) during Mercury retrograde?? Should I wait till July 1st??
Also, it’s a 2-story home, Dana could you please tell me, should I align the Bagua with the front door on the first floor, and then with the top of the staircase on the second?
(I’m sure that won’t be the last you hear from me!)
do not worry! its a great time for social connection & reconnection! and a great time to finish projects (like a move!) i would never rearrange what is already set… but if i have an option i always choose to wait. that said, i’m travelling during this retrograde and the last i did, too. and finished lots of things! so happy moving!!!xoxo
