Any time is a great time to magnify the foliage in and around your home! I don’t know a single person who doesn’t love plants… but I do know many people who feel its a very hefty expense to get cool, custom pots for all their houseplants… hence…they shy away from the investment completely. Here is a roundup from some of my favorite DIY’ers of very basic terracotta flower pots – the ones you can get for a few bucks at the local hardware store- taken to a level of sophistication that is surreal. Like Under the Sycamore , blowing my mind with the fabric-wrapped flower pots above.
No more excuses- its time to go leafy green!
Mix And Chic make these “face” flower pots” that are nothing short of genius.
Color Blocking is easy-peasey with intructions from A Beautiful Mess. Pick your colors, make your project your own!
Homedit has a very simple idea of “belting” pots in printed fabrics. It takes very little material but is very effective!
You don’t even need to touch your plain terracotta pots if they are well-appointed! If you so dare to do something design-insane that will rock your world, Design*Sponge has a DIY leather hanging basket project that will have you creating actual hanging sculpture! Its incredible. MUST try this.
If you make your own, please send pix! I am headed to the flower mart now & I can’t wait! I have my own little pot project in mind! xoxo Dana
Would love directions for these beautiful pots.
