Links I Love: Gluten & Grain-Free Breakfasts!

Apr 13, 2013 | Food-Shui

gluten free

This weekend I have soooooo much to do- from home viewings to filming things to finishing that feng shui book I can’t seem to stop writing- and when I am really busy I cook.  Seriously. I cook. Like crazy!

I cook to get through busy times because 1. I get near-immediate gratification, 2. When you are busy you NEED to eat more and 3. Cooking is an ultimate creativity-inducer.  I might throw down a fun shake this weekend, but in the meantime, here are a load of links to stuff I LOVE to make and its all whole foods, all easy to obtain at a supermarket (coconut flour may be tough, but you can grind some in a food processor or powerful blender from the shredded varied ), all sugar free and unprocessed and all EXTREMELY awesome.  If any of this food lasts past the weekend, I’ll have amazing breakfasts next week!!!

coconut oatmeal

Katie Did makes a gorgeous Coconut Flour “Oatmeal” that defies the imagination  No grain. No oats. Totally nutritious and soooo good!

Oh, and on the coconut tip, I must try THIS Paleoliscious coconut bread! You don’t even need coconut flour to make it.

banana_paleo

Banana Cinnamon Pancakes from Multiply Delicious  are as yummmmm. If you don’t have almond or coconut flour, try stirring in more almond butter till you get to a thick “batter” consistency, and sorta flatten them on your skillet.

popcorn cauliflower

Hows about some “Butter Popcorn” minus the corn…plus…cauliflower!  Yes, I would totally eat this for breakfast. Its amazing.

raw cheesecake

La Mesa’s Raw Cashew Cheesecake, however, is far more breakfast-y, in that ” I eat cake for breakfast” kind of way.  And I do eat cake for breakfast all the time!  (** note to my SCD diet peeps: swap agave for honey!)Ah

Gotta run the the store & get ready.  I hope my neighbors are hungry!!! Enjoy! xoxo Dana
