I love the richness and depth of jewel toned greens. Emerald greens, as well as all greens in nature, have tremendous and measured creative properties that have been studied extensively. Emerald is a regal, rich and unusual color for interiors….perfect to individualize your personal space!
Today’s design inspiration takes a pass at emerald green with a twist: they are all ideas you can implement at home. Above, occasional tables you can snag at a thrift store, made wonderful with the splash of emerald.
Remaking a book case? Emerald green will add a tremendous amount of artistic pep and curiosity.
Emerald may become your new neutral. Its a sparkling color for a sofa, especially in velvety regal fabrics.
And a quick fix for any room: colored lampshades. I am planning on some gorgeous emerald shades for a set of glass lamps arriving soon from my mom’s home, to top them with elegance.
A big design move that requires a can of paint and your favorite old picnic table. It takes very little effort, and will bring you maximum impact, especially for informal and chatty gatherings.
Don’t be afraid to add color: it will feel strange at first, but if you trust your instincts, it will guide you to new moods and new outlooks!
