It is no secret that I am a nature lover, and while the sleek and modern are fancy and delightful and to be integrated, for sure, ultimately it all comes down to our true core of the natural where great design and feng shui are concerned. You don’t need to live in a tree house (as much as I want to!) but you can find amazing inspiration in the integration of natural materials. Here are some new favorites where the materials of nature are concerned, like the woven, the knit and the blooming buds above!
(hand-woven baskets with a purpose from Jjangde)
Jjande is a company that interests me not only for its handmade woven baskets, but also for their mission to employ women in Senegal, to educate children and to empower global community through the sale of their products. I adore the basket above, and their laundry hampers are another big favorite of mine! You can check out their Etsy store HERE.
The best walls I have ever seen are re-purposed-wood-paneled, and selectively painting planks adds such charm!
A corner garden inside is a possibility in even the smallest of spaces!
Layering rugs atop fabulous sisal creates the feeling of a real “nest.”
Herbs and grasses, even wheatgrass, can grow as decor and can be snipped and used as you wish, as well!
A little more nature can boost up any interior! xoxo Dana
