Just one thoughtful accessory or bit of architecture can help a room completely snap from disparate elements into one brilliant space.  Here are a few details that can completely bring a space together.  You don’t always need a makeover- a small accessory can make it all happen!

While these knit baskets are super for any space, the tall jar of sculptural matches alone makes the space more special.

retro phone

I’m relatively obsessed with this retro rotary. How brilliant!

tub wood

Ultimate accessory for my own home- just a simple board but yet it turns a tub into an engaging experience of something much more.

danish home

While the plush rug and big sofa are nice, they are nothing new. The wild vase of elemental glass and the wheely coffee table really make this room happen!

Can you add a meaningful detail to your home to bring your decor into focus? Of course! Just pick a room and add something that feels magnificent, even if it seems superfluous.  You will likely have your winner…! xoxo Dana

I couldn’t agree with you more. it is the little touches that put your stamp on a room and make into something that bit extra special.

I always see a room like blank canvas and can’t resist trying new ideas in the hope of creating a masterpiece. It is so much fun and when it works you just want to be in that space as much as possible.

Love the phone and the wheely coffee table.

    Great ideas!

The wooden board on the bathtub didn’t work for me, it gets filled with water that ends up on the floor when I take a shower! Too bad, cause I loved the way it looks too!

That bath is amazing, somewhere to put my book while I’m in there really appeals to me 🙂

    Dana,
are all of your walls white? My home really needs new paint and I’m not sure of the color to use. Do you have suggestions? Thank you for all of the inspiration you have given me, I feel truly blessed to have found you.

not all my walls are white, but lots are 🙂 stick to neutrals that feel good when you are getting into painting, you can always go darker later 🙂
