My friend just sent me a message that included her trip through ABC Home in New York, running through piles of magenta pillows everywhere… Such a dreamy scenario. Such impetus for more Radiant Orchid inspiration!
While lots of color therapy suggests that an abundance of magenta and violet hues will overwhelm, you don’t need a whole lot of radiant orchid hues to create a big effect. In fact, this color has such alchemy invested in it- a tinge of the spiritual and the royal all at once- that just a small bit will catalyze a design.
Like, a stand mixer. I am really not sure what besides meringues that I would use a $500 + stand mixer for in reality, but I do just love the way it looks, don’t you?!
Art is always a powerful way to add the dreamy tones that walls can’t carry.
You can always wear a bit… like this dyed agate that packs a punch.
Shades of orchids and violets really best combine in meditation rooms and chill spaces like this. In large amounts it is a color that prompts us to focus more on our inner world rather than everyday chit-chatty world of vibrant gathering spaces.
And on that note, I’m going to close my eyes and envision purples for a few minutes. It is the color that wakes up and amplifies higher consciousness. xoxo Dana
