One fabulous form of color for your life comes from the spectrum of colored plants that can paint your life in fresh energy.
I’ve noticed that I intuitively have more blueberries when I’m looking for more creative vision in my life, I get into red foods when I want to feel more grounded… its something I think I do after years of working with chakras and feng shui colors.
If you have no idea what a chakra is, THIS piece from Mind Body Green will get you up to speed.
If you didn’t know that there were feng shui colors, THIS post will fill you in as to the power of colors in feng shui.
If this all sounds too far-out for you, this can be simplified greatly.
Think about it: On a basic level we do eat with our eyes (more on this HERE as it’s been scientifically tested!) as well as our digestive system, so the colors of your food do make a difference in some way even if it’s purely aesthetic!
Why not eat and drink more rainbows… especially if it could possibly change your mood and even your magnetism?!
(grab the full-size chart here!)
Juice in chakra colors!!! Even if there is nothing to this science, what a powerful intention is it to choose colors that enhance your dreams by serving as a full-color reminder of where to focus your intention!
If you don’t know the chakra colors and how they relate to your body, mind and mood, this can help:
So, this means that if you are looking to enhance your vitality (or heal a stomach issue) some white cabbage and turmeric and yellow peppers and even yellow carrots can be a fun juice! Blueberry and blackberry smoothies can be your go-to when you want to enhance your intuitive vision.
This is the stuff that gets me stretching outside of my nutritional comfort zone and the results have been glorious.. as are the colors in my moring juice and my salads, too!
Not into juice? If you’ve never made your own juice or gotten into the juice craze sweeping all of Hollywood and far and wide from here, Dr. Mercola shares some of the top reasons to mix some juice into your diet:
” There are three main reasons why you will want to consider incorporating vegetable juicing into your optimal health program:
Juicing helps you absorb all the nutrients from the vegetables. This is important because most of us have impaired digestion as a result of making less-than-optimal food choices over many years. This limits your body’s ability to absorb all the nutrients from the vegetables. Juicing will help to “pre-digest” them for you, so you will receive most of the nutrition, rather than having it go down the toilet.
Juicing allows you to consume a healthier amount of vegetables in an efficient manner. Virtually every health authority recommends that we get six to eight servings of vegetables and fruits per day and very few of us actually get that. Juicing is an easy way to virtually guarantee that you will reach your daily target for vegetables.
You can add a wider variety of vegetables in your diet. Many people eat the same vegetable salads or side dishes every day. This violates the principle of regular food rotation and increases your chance of developing an allergy to a certain food.
Plus, it limits the number of different phytochemicals in your diet, as each vegetable will offer unique benefits. With juicing, you can juice a wide variety of vegetables that you may not normally enjoy eating whole.Additionally, juicing can help:
Promote weight loss. In one study, adults who drank at least eight ounces of vegetable juice as part of a diet lost four pounds over 12 weeks, while those who followed the same diet but did not drink the juice lost only one pound. The vegetable juice drinkers also significantly increased their intake of vitamin C and potassium, while decreasing their overall carbohydrate intake.
Boost your immune system by supercharging it with concentrated phytochemicals. Raw juice also contains biophotonic light energy, which can help revitalize your body.
Increase your energy. When your body has an abundance of the nutrients it needs, and your pH is optimally balanced, you feel energized. Since it can be utilized by your body immediately, those who juice report feeling the “kick” of energy almost instantly.
Support your brain health. People who drank juices (fruit and vegetable) more than three times per week, compared to less than once a week, were 76 percent less likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease, according to the Kame Project.”
You don’t need to do a juice fast to get the benefits. Every glass goes a long way.
Plus… Rainbows are a feng shui cure! Of course, my love of rainbows as a space cure in feng shui deserves a mention here. When you add a multicolored spectrum to a room with art or textiles or furniture, you add an enormous dose of balanced energy to a space. Imagine what a giant basket of raw fruit and veggies can do for your kitchen?!
On that note, I’m off to go grab an orange juice (2nd chakra) and some kale for a banana hazlenut green shake (4th chakra) later! Fun stuff, right?! It’s far more motivating to think that you are drinking dandelion juice to open yourself up to more love, isn’t it?!
xoxo Dana
