Feng Shui To Finish Your Unfinished Projects!

I’m looking at an orchid from September right now that may need to go somewhere to wait to re-bloom. I’m not quite sure how to manage this- to get an orchid to spring back to life in a new season- but I am going to Google it and figure it out later. I simply can’t bare to see a naked orchid stem sort of drooping in front of me all day. It is depressing. If I know how to prepare it for next seasons re-bloom, the orchid will become a creative project and a symbol of life to come.

I feel the same about the technological things I need to sort out today that will be a huge step forward in my own life- they just need to get figured out so that they go from menacing steps on a To-Do list to the flowing cycles of my creative life that empower me.

Anything lingering around, unfinished, unhandled, is more that just clutter.

If you are surrounded by enough unfinished projects, your life is reflecting a quality of distraction that usually points to life-draining people in your midst, life-sucking situations and a general lack of self-esteem or healthy boundaries— all that I am pretty sure you don’t need or want.

If you want to clear the decks and finally finish some unfinished stuff around you, this feng shui can help!

Whenever I have a few too many unfinished things around me, I know I’ve gotten into trouble. Luckily, I have learned over years of accumulating things “un-done” how to pull myself out of the land of overwhelm and figure things out.

Typically, I stop doing a normal day and figure out how to solve the biggest unfinished mess around me.

Multi-tasking was not meant for my mind. Probably it wasn’t meant for your mind, either.

Then I take a look at how I got to this place: what was I doing with my time & my energy to get into this mess?

Typically I can find the source of my own demise. When I had a miserable day job with horribly passive aggressive staff, the energy there would pull me into a rollercoaster spiral.

This video is all about breaking free of these draining situations that can leave you empty-handed, distracted and spent:

I do a whole lot of cleaning up.

Not only do I typically make a decision or two about how I am going to spend my time to clean up my schedule, I also clean up my house. Completely. Everything clean. This is a fresh-start on a high level.

And I make sure things are physically growing and thriving everywhere around me.

The dogs get extra walks, extra grooming, extra nutrition.

The plants get special time, a special talk, extra pruning and watering and even re-planting.

Crystals get recharged in the sun.

I often take myself to the pink salt sauna to recharge, too.

Whenever I take the time to ensure that things are extra-thriving in my life around me, this creates such pride and momentum… It keeps me going through the bigger challenges.

Then… onto the next unfinished project.

Get help if you need it. Get a coach, an assistant, join a group of do-ers.

Staying mindful of what you say YES to- alone – will revolutionize your life.

As I head off Google my orchid rescue (!) I hope you are a bit inspired to start tackling some of the un-done stuff that’s staring you in the face. It opens the doors to so much excitement!   xoxo Dana

I have a half finished design course I have no interest in finishing, I have a feeling it relates to a very unhappy time (the reason I stopped) and have lost the passion. I feel it no longer serves me. Will this effect my success in my business’s. What should I do with the notes and finished portions. Do I own the two finished modules and accept the unfinished? I have seen this with a highly successful person in my field. She tells the world she hasn’t finished… Will this be freeing?
