When designing a space for wellness, the last color I thought I would be attracted to is black. After all, with its background of mystery and intrigue, its not exactly a warm hug type of color. The big revelation of black, however, is that it can be the addition, in sophisticated bits, that takes a space and pulls it together, varnishing the leftover bits while adding a very definitive chic to a space.
When you add black, you move into an echelon of glamour you may not have expected!
This DIY washi tape gemstone heart is lovely, but the overall effect of just a bit of black… and the extra bonus of gold… is extraordinary!
Charcoal macrame is my search of the day, a whole lot of it along a wall… couples with lots of leaves I think this will be just extraordinary!!!
If I didn’t have a white dog who loves the sofa, I would have a jet black sofa in minutes.
Can you see the impact of just a touch of black with this design?
Forever I’m in love with juju hats (a big round-up coming soon!) and here this black on black wall of juju hats creates something utterly magical.
A little black is a lot of design. Experiment with a touch (mine is in a rug thr makes everything look more stately) and see how it makes your space shift! xoxo Dana
