My Favorite Crystals To Put In Baths!

May 25, 2015 | Sensory Goodness

bath crystals

I put crystals in just about every bath I take.

And because I take baths every single day except for when I’m travelling (*and even then, depending on where I am!) I have a real sense of what I love where crystals are concerned.

Not every crystal is bath-friendly.  Some dissolve in water and some are just plain toxic, but the ones that are completely happy and body-friendly are my favories to interact with in the tub.  Whether a placebo effect or not (* placebo effects actually do work!) I can tell you that I LOVE my crystals and they are so gorgeous that they elevate the bath experience 100%.  So, today, my favorite bath crystals for you!

ultra epsom

Usually, I take a bath in two cups of Epsom salt and a cup of baking soda, though at times its just Epsom or just baking soda, depending on what I intuitively want and have on hand.  There are rare times I will use some sort of natural bubble bath, but these are rare!  I happened upon Ultra Epsom- with smaller crystals that are meant to be more powerful-  at Wholefoods and I’m loving it so far.

My personal menu of crystals to pull from:

rose quartz: when I need pink softness.

clear quartz: it always has amazing energy.

smoky quartz: it helps me feel more grounded.

aventurine: the green one pictured above is so lush and creative, and I use this more in daytime baths for some reason.

citrine: its sunshining and powerful to me.

I just plop them all in and soak for 20 minutes or so. Sometimes I will hold a few in my hands.  most times they are just there, hanging out wth me.

I periodically put out my crystals in the full moon, and/or in sunshine, to charge them up and keep them feeling fresh and clean and alive.

Fast feng shui for beautiful energy.

Have you ever taken a bath in crystals? If you try it, please let me know how it goes!  xoxo Dana

Dana this is new to me and I LOVE it! I am also a lover of baths and usually add epsom salt, baking soda or both but never heard of using crystals this way! Thanks for sharing your find of the epsom salt crystals at Whole foods, where do you get your other crystals? Thank you for adding to my daily life! XOXO
