This is sooooo refreshing!
And in a few minutes, you can whip it up, and within a few hours, you can have a nutrition-packed, deliciously fresh snow of a treat!
Temple Turmeric offered to send me drinks to create with. This spicy elixir inspired my sister Nicole to add tons of fresh fruit and ice to experience freshness and the brilliance of turmeric in a new way!
Ready for this?
Nicole’s Fresh Peach Turmeric Granita
- 1 bottle Temple Turmeric Original
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 4 peaches, peeled and diced
- 1 apple, cored, peeled and diced
Place all the ingredients in a blender, and blend till it’s all emulsified.
Pour contents onto a baking pan, and place in the freezer.
Every hour, scrape with a fork to ensure a fluffy texture.
Freeze for 4 hours.
Granita!
If you want to store it, if it doesn’t go in one sitting, put it in a sealed container in freezer. You’ll have to re-scrape it afterward with a fork before spooning it into glasses.
By the way: if you put it in chilled bowls it’s even better!
PS: If you can’t get the powerful turmeric from Temple Turmeric, you can try adding 1/2 tsp of dried turmeric and a touch of extra lemon to the mix with 1 1/2 cups water….Not as intensely layered with cinnamon and mint, but refreshing for your intoduction to making desserts with turmeric!
