I’ve wanted forever to make the shots of raw turmeric juice that are at my local grocery store for $6.00 and for many of you, you don’t even have that $6.00 option so today, I found a way!
This shot of turmeric, tangerines and ginger is super-potent, and with a blender, it can be your morning sunshine, too!
Turmeric Tangerine Morning Sunshine Shots
In a blender, add:
1 1/2 cups of fresh tangerine (or orange) juice
2 1/2 inch knob of turmeric root peeled and sliced
1 1/2 inch knob of ginger root peeled and sliced
1 teaspoon of honey
This will make several fairly large servings (I have about 5 shots from one batch) and while many say you should have it immediately, I have refrigerated it for a day
like I do with turmeric lemonade!
Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend till the roots are fully pulverized.
Strain the liquid into glasses.
* Optional – rim your glass with a bit of black pepper for to boost the bioavailability of turmeric. Also eat a meal with some fat in it to also help the absorption.
