I’m such a fan of happy everything.
And while I’m not a classic self-help fan a lot of the time because I find it too hard-driving and with too little space for happiness in the mix, I love this quote so much:
“Make the most of today. Get interested in something. Shake yourself awake. Develop a hobby. Let the winds of enthusiasm sweep through you. Live today with gusto.”

I know, if you don’t like your job at the moment or if you’re in a struggle the last thing you’ve been taught to do is to be happy in these situations. Weirdly, though, it was when I decided to be happy despite the it being darkest time in my life, going against every single thing I’d ever been taught to do in a crisis- everything started to change in ways that seemed impossible to imagine. That sold me on happiness as the best way to do anything.
Positive psychology is pretty phenemonal… and it’s exciting and within reach right now…!

There are so many ideas in this talk to start building a base of happiness everywhere, it’s so exciting. Even just the simplicity of three bits of gratitude a day for 21 days… I mean, you can do that right now!
So how do you become happier… using your space to help you?
When your space is happy, you are happier. That’s pretty much a given in feng shui, and my non-scientific observation of thousands of people (including myself) over 10 years has proven this true. That’s all the science I need!
But… this is awesome…
Green your space and you’ll be happier. Add more plants, landscaping, trees…!!!
The City Fix reports on the power of GREEN space to create happiness:
“First, a study from the University of Wisconsin found that, on average, residents claim to be happier the more green space is located in their neighborhood. The study drew conclusions from a statewide public health survey of over 2,500 residents of 229 cities and towns, who answered questions on their levels of depression, anxiety, and stress. Their responses were then examined against an index of the vegetation per square mile in their neighborhood.”
There are so many studies that prove nature is a powerful agent of happiness!!!
Simple feng shui for the day: go visit a park, spend time with a tree… even my dogs are happier running in grass and sniffing trees and plants than anything else!
Bonus points if you go get yourself a plant or 3…or 5!
