Do You Use Your Intuition To Bring Your Brilliance To Work & Life?

It doesn’t matter how smart you are or how much you’ve worked or the numbers of the grades you have academically if you can’t creatively put those qualifications into action… and all action is tapped into a brilliance we can’t quantify. It’s that “special something” we might be tempted to call luck, good timing, talent or something else… but really… it’s intuition.

Creativity is intuition made manifest.

Great problem solving in intuitive, knowing among the infinite choices which ones feel more right than others, defying logic and defying good sense sometimes.

I’ve been challenged by lots of people who think there’s no logical sense in my intuitive decision making but it’s always worked out for me when I stick to my own truth. That said, when I fell into fear and peer pressure and “reasoned” my way through things with reason alone I made very bad decisions that were purely logical. In fact, I’ve been tempted to quit everything in my life because I was so jaded and so disconnected, relying on “reason” like “smart” people should.

Are you using your own brilliance enough?

Today’s feng shui and energy shifts are all about tapping into that brilliance of what feels right.

You’re always onto something good when it feels good!

I love this passage from Steve Jobs:

“I began to realize that an intuitive understanding and consciousness was more significant than abstract thinking and intellectual logical analysis.” “…intuition is a very powerful thing, more powerful than intellect, in my opinion. That’s had a big impact on my work.”

Yes, you do need to have the pragmatic knowledge, skill, practice and experience and determination to be a professional that succeeds, but a key element that creates success and brilliance is pure intuition. This unconscious ability to tap into creative problem solving, create new products, new ways of approaching business, new ways to communicate and thrive is vital. It allows for innovation and quick decisions.

Intuition isn’t just a feeling. This shouldn’t be confused with playing a guessing game. Our intuition is gained from previous physical experiences, stored up both consciously and subconsciously, and all this data is operating on an unconscious level, that we call all learn to tap into.

Being intuitively quick to make decisions and create solutions is a big deal today, more than ever. A study at UCLA discovered that in this information age, we now process over 174 newspapers worth of information each day, which is 5 times more information than 5 years ago. This is a lot of information and noise to break through on a daily basis!

In his TEDx talk, Learned Intuition, Patrick Schwerdtfeger explains that the human mind makes 10 million unconscious observations each second, yet can only consciously track between 40 – 100 of them. This means that 99.999% of the observations made remain unconscious mental images.

Immersion is the best way to absorb and create deep changes. He explains, if you want to learn French, there is no better way than to move to France and immerse your self in the language. In essence, the fastest way to gain experience and expertise is to intensely and intentionally immerse yourself in the subject matter where you wish to utilize your intuition.

It’s the reason why I created 8-week immersion camps that are tight knit communities. The information in each Camp isn’t just “learned” : it’s an immersive and personal lifestyle shift. I want everyone to use their own intuitive know-how to create their own best ways of applying the best practices I’ve found in feng shui, space & life shifting art & science. I’m so happy to see it validated by even more research!!!

You can do much more to tap into your own creative bank of intuitive brilliance right now…

Meditation allows us to be more mindful of our inner voice, or our intuition. Through meditation we can let go of all our cluttered thoughts that cloud our intuition and gain access to present time and clear, precise, intuitive feelings.

Trust your gut. We all have an enteric nervous system, which is essentially the brain of our gut. Jokingly, scientists call this our second brain. Our second brain sends us these uneasy feelings for a reason, allowing us to follow our truth.  See if you can go through just one full day trusting all your gut instincts and noticing the way life feels living in this way.

Do those Morning Pages. Allow your thoughts to run free and write what ever comes to mind, unedited, in a journal every morning, an exercise championed by Julia Cameron in her book The Artists Way. I can’t live well without them!   (You can learn more about these pages HERE!)

The Universe will guide you with signs. Take note of repeated phrases, billboards, phone calls… you can even ask for signs and you’ll see them!

Those things you think about doing, talk about doing and wish your could do… they’re all part of intuition. When you shut it down, you shut your greatness down.

Tune in and listen.

You’ll be amazed at all the great ideas you have!!!
