Yes, this looks a touch bizarre to see my green mud-colored feet, but let me tell you, it’s the most radiant I have felt in ages. And I do everything in the realms of detoxing and energy-promotion under the sun.
It’s a magnetic clay foot mask. From the moment I paint it on, it’s amazing!
Today, let’s explore some ways that I’ve discovered to use magnetic clay to detox your body through your feet!
Bentonite clay is composed of ash from volcanoes, the largest source being in Fort Benton, Wyoming. This clay has been used for centuries by cultures from the Australia, Central Africa, and the Andes region to not only prevent disease, but to restore health.
How does Bentonite clay work? We encounter a gamet of toxins throughout our day, whether it be products we clean with, the pesticides on our vegetables and fruit, or the unfiltered water we drink…these toxins get stored in our body and can create inflammation and a decreased immunity to disease and illness. Toxins carry a positive charge and come in the form of compounds like mercury, lead and benzene, to name a few. The Bentonite clay, when mixed with water, or any liquid, carries an opposing negative charge. The negative ions (clay) actually seek out the positive ions (toxins) to bond with, targeting the problem areas, and pulling toxins such as heavy metals, and other impurities from your body and skin.
According to Dr. Axe, Bentonite can be used to:
1. Help heal skin disorders such as Eczema, Dermatitis and Psoriasis
2. Better cellular oxygenation, leaving you feeing more energized
3. Reduce acidity in your stomach, which will aid in digestion
4. Help promote good bacteria, (probiotics) in your stomach
5. Help with nausea, constipation and IBS symptoms.
6. Boost immunity, by reducing the amount of damaging toxins found in the body.
To create a clay detox foot mask like I did: use equal parts clay to unfiltered water. Mix well and be sure to not let this water and clay touch any metal, as it will deactivate the strength of the healing properties. If you’re using apple cider vinegar, you will make your mixture with a 2 to 1 ratio. For example, two tablespoons of clay to one tablespoon of vinegar. Apply this mask to the bottom of your feet as well as the top and be sure to include your ankles. Let it dry for 30 minutes and rinse well.
*** NOTE: It’s important to stay hydrated through this process.

You can also make a detoxifying footbath.
You can blend a half cup of clay to one quart of warm water.
Make sure you blend it well with a non-metal whisk.
Let your feet soak for at least 20 – 30 minutes..
Drink tons of water as this might dehydrate you.
Experts recommend starting slow and if you experience any headaches, pains or other symptoms, discontinue immediately.
