Yes, thoughts become things.
Emotions become things.
Have you heard this before?
I bet you have!
We are sending out messages like a radio station from our brain and our heart every second of the day.
Some say that our actual thoughts are like prayers… and that everything we focus on (consciously or not) we energize as though we’re praying for the outcome, whatever it may be.
The tricky part of all of this is that you can’t always “control” your mind.
So, how do you create the best outcomes with a mind that is used to worrying, a body that’s used to feeling rushes of stress and a life that seems full of resistance to the great stuff?
Today’s feng shui is all about re-acclimating to a life that is way easier and more abundant!!!
See what you want very clearly and feel that feeling.
Five minutes a day of visualizing what you want won’t counteract the rest of the 24 hours of stuff floating around in your mind. But… it’s a great start!
You might not think it’s working, but no one thinks that going for short walks every day works until it adds up into a whole life-changing fitness routine. Start somewhere and build momentum!!!
Take five minutes and without any fancy requirements start daydreaming the outcomes you want.
Once you’re in the habit of this, after a few weeks of taking five minutes, take fifteen. Then try doing it twice a day.
If you want to get fancier you can try a guided visualization twice a day when you’re ready, but really, the basics are:
- Be quiet. back when I had a “day job” I’d go to the car parking lot for 15 minute breaks at lunch and later in the day and do this!
- Get grounded so that you’re very much engaged with all your senses (this is a simple technique)
- Relax fully. Breathing deeply with my eyes closed, counting from 100 to 0 is my fail-safe method.
- See and experience only what you want for the length of time you have.
Now, if you return to your day after five or fifteen minutes and launch back into worries, I understand. It’s a habit and beneath that habit are many beliefs. That’s what the next part is all about.
Start changing what you see around you wherever you spend the biggest part of your day.
If your desk is a pile of clutter, guess how you’ll feel? If your home is an obstacle course, how is that helpful?
Or… if you live with lots of stuff you don’t like and that is the message you’re receiving all day, how is that having an impact?
Your environment is sending you the most profound messages daily.
Add at least one very fixed point of focus in a high traffic area that sends the message of what you want.
Delete from your space all that you don’t want.

The results: your five, then 15 then 30 minutes of visualizing will start to get mirrored in your home. It may start small and subtle, but it will build and your space will evolve as it does…!!!
Slowly then suddenly, it’s easier to deliberately choose new thoughts instead of worries, it’s simpler to make new plans instead of focusing on old ones… it’s more “right feeling” to be happy and full of positive desires than navigating possible worst case scenarios… and more amazing outcomes flow easily!!!
What if you’re so deep in your thoughts and patterns that you can’t find a way out of them and this doesn’t seem to make a dent big enough to shift life at all?
De-clutter everything. Completely.
Completely rid your life of the toxic stuff that’s helped to reinforce your stress, your self-destruction or your feelings of lack. And when I say completely, I mean… completely.
I once knew a man who wanted to dramatically change his life so he moved 10 miles from his home, left his toxic drug-addicted peer group behind by moving, spent the days in meditation and working and in love with life completely.
He was finally feeling happy and life was manifesting great things. Until, that is, he realized he just moved away from the toxic stuff, but he didn’t eliminate it. Those people showed up with drinks in hand, and drugs, and toxic words and events and ideas… and because he didn’t really do the work of letting them go, he fell right back into misery and the good stuff faded away fast.
You may not have such extreme problems, but this example illustrates the difference between organizing a closet full of stuff you don’t really like that’s loaded with bad memories VS. actually donating these clothes.
One leaves you temporarily relieved ; one sets you emotionally and actually free.
If you’re stuck somehow, be vigilant about completely removing the clutter from your life. It will free you in the most unexpectedly amazing ways!
