Using Pink Salt To Infuse Your Life With Positive Energy!

Aug 29, 2017 | Sensory Goodness

There are so many wonderful ways to use pink salt in your home + life and today, here are a few favorites to amplify the good vibes everywhere!

Pink Himalayan salt is amazing!

This salt is also know to contain 84 trace minerals that are naturally occurring in the human body, including sodium chloride, sulphate, calcium, potassium and magnesium.

The history behind pink Himalayan salt dates back to 200 million years ago, where this salt was buried in lava and then ice for a millennia and therefore not exposed to modern day toxins.

You can cook with it!

Sprinkling pink salt on your food can help your body balance electrolytes and in turn increase your cellular hydration.

Sole Solution is a next-level way to use pink salt.

For added hydration, you can also make yourself a sole, which is a natural salt and water solution. A sole is created by taking Himalayan pink salt, and saturating the salt with water to a point where the water cannot dissolve the salt anymore.

Every morning before eating or drinking, you can add a teaspoon of the solution to filtered or spring water and drink it.

You can find the method to properly prepare sole HERE.

According to Himalayan Crystal Salt , regular consumption of sole can have the following benefits:

• Regulate water content both inside and outside of cells
• Balance pH (alkaline/acidity)
• Aid in metabolic functioning
• Strengthen bones
• Lower blood pressure
• Improve circulation
• Help the absorption of nutrients in your intestines
• Dissolve and eliminate sediment to remove toxins

Clear some space!

You can also use pink salt in bowls- or shells- as space clearing. I like to leave them out for a day or two and then toss in the trash, removing the negative energies along with the salt.

Pink Salt lamps are amazing. I have 3 of them… and 2 more salt votives at home at the moment!

According to Natural Living Ideas:

“All matter (the human body, air, water, etc) is made up of molecules which are made up of atoms which are made up of three types of particles: protons (positive charge), electrons (negative charge), and neutrons (no charge). Electrons orbit their molecules like planets revolve around a star. Occasionally an electron flies off and when it does, it leaves behind a positively-charged ion whose sole purpose in life becomes to fill the void left by its little lost electron. In other words: it wants to steal a replacement electron from another molecule. Due to differences in molecular structure (number of electrons in the outermost orbit, strength and structure of electron bonds, etc) some materials lose electrons much more easily than others.”

Himalayan salt lamps are know to emit negative ions and block the production of positive ions. In this way, they neutralize the air and reduce the amount of electromagnetic radiation, (the radiation of visible light, radio waves, gamma rays, micro waves, electromagnetic radiation). Some people call this electromagnetic smog.

Himalayan salt lamps, because they are heated and comprised of Himalayan pink salt, attract water vapor, bacteria, allergens, and pollutants. The heat of the lamp causes evaporation of the moisture and vapor in the salt and while the pollutants stay stuck in the salt, the lamp just releases pure water vapor. This process also releases negative ions that clear the air and reduce the amount of pollutants and electromagnetic smog.

In the article, “Negative Ions Create Positive Vibes” on WebMD they site a study conducted at Columbia University testing the effects of using negative ion generators on people with depression, and found that negative ions in the air are equally as effective as antidepressants in treating depression – and yield no negative side effects.

An over abundance of positive ions in the air can actually disrupt sleep by inhibiting the blood and oxygen supply to the brain. Therefore, neutralizing the air by creating more negative ions, promotes better sleeping patterns. (you can read more here)

And, according to Dr. Axe, Pink Himalayan Salt Lamps can:

• Purify the air
• Reduce electromagnetic radiation
• Help with restful sleeping and promote mood

This is just the beginning!

There are so so so many ways to use pink salt in wellness and home… bowls of salt, slabs of salt… I actually sit in saunas of salt and have used salt in design for so many years…

For purity, clarity, peace, calm… magnetism… and so much more… pink salt is always welcome in my life with open arms!

xoxo!!!

Amazing mother-of-pearl seashell, Dana! I have a fascination with them lately.

I use Himalayan salt mixed with sea salt in everything from cooking, cleaning to decoration. My favourite is a tray with salt/spices where I put anything I feel needs a cleanse overnight. Mixing salt into hair masks does wonders for volume/curls.
My lamp I make sure to spritz every other week to disinfect.
