The thing is, all of my work and creativity and my whole life is a function of my energy. All of our days are a function of our energy.
Here’s my own Feng Shui cure for feeling stuck that’s worked wonders. Feel free to customize it and dive right in if you, too, are ready for more flow and action!
Done without force or too much thought, it has been so freeing to clear the energy everywhere.
All of these step are a sensory-refresh on many levels, adding a whole new dimension to the day. When our senses are refreshed, life flows freely!!!
1. New, exciting motion. I signed up for a 6-week next-level exercise class that’s once a week and promises to be a total revolution. If this is the Winter in Los Angeles this year, I will be signing up for even more classes until March when I can start hiking and walking for hours again!!!
I have not signed up for a class of anything in about four years so this is significantly fresh for my days!!!
2. Lots of spiritual time and energy exercises.
LOTS of spiritual time brings the sun back to my spirit. I’ve been doubling my commitment to my practice and practicing twice as long. I can’t wait to sit down again today and keep the flow going!!!
Energy clearing exercises and tools— from homeopathic remedies to guided mediations, have all been vital in my energetic reboot! FYI— YouTube is a great place to explore some guided meditations— use your discernment and find what feels good!
3. New flavors.
When I need new energy, I buy new groceries and come up with new foods to eat. I know that may sound simplistic, but it really adds bliss to the day. Right now I’m having butternut squash hash browns and there are insanely great snacks cued up for later.
I need freshness; deliciousness is freshness!!!
4. MY HOUSE IS SO ENERGETICALLY CLEAR, OMG!!!
Sage, Palo Santo, Mopping with some magical ingredients that are as simple as lavender Castile soap and a dash of salt…
All of these– plus more– are creating the greatest sanctuary-vibes in my house right now. It’s not just the energy clearing tools, though, that are making the difference, though— I’m very engaged with the process and ready for change!
5. Showers with power.
Baths can be stagnation-making, believe it or not. My acupuncturist, Dr. Wing, alway told me that when I feel physically stuck that long baths are not that great of a cure because they can cause more stagnation!
Instead, I’m taking short showers with all kinds of aromatherapy sprinkled in the corners. It’s working wonders!
6. Music is my muse.
Today, a selection of classical music and some wild New Agey instrumentals are my anthems. I can’t work when lyrics are in my background music, and I really have to know the lyrics before I listen to lyric music, s we stay in the instrumental selections. I have had some very bad vibe lyrics from radio music stuck in my head in the past, and I’m not going down that road today!
7. I have a list I can’t wait to finish!
I scrapped my list of things to-do (*they can wait until the sun is shining) and decided that for the next four days it was nothing but fun, fun, fun!!!
I pulled together the most fun things To Do that also need to get done, and here I am, feeling the buzz again!
If I can’t eliminate my to-do list or put things off for a better day, I find that adding more enjoyment to it (*coffee break with friends? a fun celebration later on? etc..!!!) changes the stickiness to flow!
And… here we go!
Customize, add, remix, enjoy… and always keep on growing!!!
xoxo!!!
Dana

Oh, wow, I love that you mentioned the bath vs. shower, Dana! I was feeling that intuitively, reflecting last week that I did not like baths at all last year though I was making myself take them because it “should” help with anxiety and pain and was supposed to be so wonderful and soothing. However. Feeling trapped in a heavy puddle of water felt awful. Exhausting, not rejuvenating, not enjoyable no matter what feel-good aromatherapy, salt, epsom, crystal, and baking soda things I added in. It echoed the stuckness I was feeling, just like you said here – I felt my energy draining away with the water by the end of the enforced relaxation period! I will take my showers now (that I love!) with a light heart instead of a guilty case of the “shoulds”. I was going to anyway but it is nice to have confirmation. 🙂
