I didn’t set out to be a Feng Shui professional at all, nor did I expect to create a method or, ever in my wildest visions, think I’d be teaching it to other people in a Feng Shui School, but I did know, for sure, that fear is not empowering.
What moved me to this place was a building curiosity and endless fascination and… a calling that captured my attention.
People were approaching me after using some other forms of Feng Shui. They found themselves in a state of fear and it became sort of a part-time job for me to assuage these fears.
I was horrified by what was out there in the world of “empowerment” that was dripping with superstition, dogma and limitations. Fear is not empowering. I’m sure it wasn’t done maliciously, spreading this fear as part of a Feng Shui consultation, but it was very clearly scaring people.
In all things, if you’re seeking empowerment yet you’re finding fear or confusion, you may want to take a step back and see if this fear is part of the stuff to declutter from your life!
I’ve had my own experiences of psychics telling me I made mistakes that ruined my destiny, healers suggesting I go against my better judgement to do things or else bad things would happen, and… much, much more.
Luckily, I hit a wall with asking for guidance.
I was very much over the idea that other people could tell me my potential or show me a path that, only if I followed it exactly, would lead me to good things.
My friends, this is a bunch of garbage.
So, it’s highly ironic that… here I am as an “expert” and a “Master.” Especially one of a subject so rife with confusion as Feng Shui is as a whole.
I didn’t know that with some Feng Shui’d you’ll hear about bad luck, predictions of bad health, divorce and more that you weren’t bargaining for. I didn’t know that happened at all until the messages asking for help started pouring in. This was so shocking that I had to do something about it.
That was the bigger reason that brought me to here:
I saw something very broken and wanted to do all I could to fix it.
I knew the tools of Feng Shui worked… but the ethos carried with them as interpreted by some people was nothing short of terrifying for so many people who were (and still are) messaging me constantly hoping that they weren’t doomed because of the position of their door or the placement of their bed.
After years of giving my power, purpose and potential to experts to “guide” me because I believed I was broken by my parents, my “mistakes” and all kinds of trauma I learned Feng Shui to empower myself and feel at home again. I figured that I could use it in my work in the arts and that it would be a great skill to have.
I found myself wanting to share it with others because when I started using it in my own ways, it was really making an impact on my home and life. My home felt like a creative engine. It was so exciting…
And, in the ultimate irony, I found as I shared it more and more that it had been one of the more disempowering practices in the ways it was often used.
So, I started experimenting for fun.
I had a ways to go to prove to myself through experience that my ideas about taking out the fear (this one was easy), the dogma, the strict rules, the superstition and sometimes even the dark magic (!!! yes, it’s crazy what I’ve seen) would hold up as a practice.
And, the more I worked with it, the more I saw the truth in why it worked so well when the layers of fear and limitations were gone—
You create the real magic in all of this.
I’m not here to tell you how your life works. I hold no keys to all the Universe’s secrets. I don’t know your karma or your future.
But, I do know there are many compelling reasons (and even science) to suggest that the future is something you create and we all create together.
I do believe that you can make things come to life with your mind, body, spirit and belief in yourself.
I’ve seen home shifts prompt life changes and life changes prompt home shifts– environment is super-powerful.
And, I’ve come to see there are so many wellness tools, many straight from Nature, that can be transformational when they’re used with intention.
There are great tools in all of healing, wellness and self-improvement that are empowering and potent. I’m not just talking about Feng Shui.
I still work with plenty of experts when I need help… but, I only work with people who believe that I will ultimately know what’s best for me and I leave with new tools or awareness and fresh perspective. That it is.
In all of wellness, in all of self-improvement, in all of advancing your life, philosophies and paths to follow, if something brings you fear, confusion or a feeling that you have to “get it all right” or else your future or success is screwed… this is not a real thing.
You are the real thing.
Trust yourself.
Re-evaluate. De-clutter. Make new choices. Follow what feels right.
